A Very Beetle Birthday

Necklace from Zara

 I got the best friends in the world. Friends so amazing that not only do they keep loving me and caring for me from a distance, but even send the coolest birthday presents, this Zara necklace and their ever original and heartfelt postcards. 

I had seen in many bloggers necks and was even considering posting it as part of my "Vacation Countdown", so I was screaming and jumping when I opened the package. I was dying to wear it and last Sunday I built a whole outfit around it. Jeans, a nude top and a blush shirt that really let my beetles shine. Can't wait to wear it again!

So thanks Rita and Catarina for making my world a little more fashionable and for making my life a whole lot better.

Tenho as melhores amigas do mundo. Amigas tão fantásticas que não só continua a gostar de mim à distância, como ainda me enviam os melhores presentes do mundo, este colar da Zara e os seus sempre originais e sentidos postais. 

Já o tinha visto no pescoço de muitas bloggers e até estava a pensar po-lo na minha "Vacation Countdown", por isso é óbvio que quando abri a encomenda dei pulinhos e gritinhos de alegria. Fiquei com imensa vontade de usar logo e no  Domingo construí todo um visual á volta dele. Calças de ganga, top e camsia nude, que deixaram as minhas joaninhas brilhar! Estou ansiosa para o usar outra vez!

It is the perfect statement necklace in the most perfect color.

As usual, I'd pair it with a white shirt/top/t-shirt for a cool, classic look that will let this piece shine.

Plus Size Me Goes To Zara

Hi everyone! I'm back! Sorry for being absent, but I've been in Portugal for over a month and I ended up spending the whole time with my family, specially my sister. 

The time (and money) was short but I still managed to enjoy some shopping with my favorite girls, my sis and my mom. Here is the one piece of clothing I got. An amazing white waistcoat from Zara. I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it and as soon as that happened I felt the overwhelming fear of me not fitting inside it...Still, I looked for the bigger size (L...I mean really...) and slowly tried it on in the middle of the store praying that know one would see my ridiculous attempt of fitting into a Zara item. But for my astonishment, it fit. Not like it fits the models in the pictures but it looked good. Since I have broad shoulders and big boobs, the front part of the waistcoat kinda sits on the side, but I don't  think anyone notices that's not how it's meant to look. Needless to say I had to have it. Although it was a bit over budget, I couldn't resist the impeccable tailoring and the gorgeous transparent sections. It's one of those different pieces that it would be a sin not to have. What do you think? Do you love it as much as I do? And how do you feel about the fact that some brands only have a very limited size selection? For instance at Zara, some of the items are only made in S and M sizes... Mango also has pieces that only go from S to an L...I just amazes me that brands don't understand that they are missing on some serious business. It's understandable that some pieces are only manufactured in some sizes in order not to compromise design. But we're talking about t-shirts and blazers here...Another of fashion's greatest mysteries. Well, let me know your thoughts on this matter. And I promise to be back soon.

Oh, I also got some cool and very cheap nail polish and some make-up. I'll show them later.

Olá a todos! Estou de volta! Peço desculpa pela ausência prolongada, mas estive mais de um mês em Portugal e acabei por passar o tempo todo com a minha família, especialmente com a minha irmã. 

O tempo (e o orçamento) foi curto, mas ainda consegui fazer umas comprinhas com as minhas meninas preferidas, a minha maninha e a minha mãe. E esta é a única peça de roupa que comprei. Um colete lindo da Zara. Apaixonei-me por ele assim que lhe deitei os olhos em cima, e assim que isso aconteceu, fui inundada por um medo esmagador de não caber dentro dele... Ainda assim, procurei o tamanho maior (que era o L...a sério...) e ali no meio da loja, decidi experimentá-lo, rezando para que ninguém testemunhasse a minha tentativa ridícula de caber dentro de uma peça da Zara. Mas, para meu espanto, não é que serviu? Não me fica exactamente como nas modelos acima, mas fica bem. Como tenho ombros largos e peito grande, a parte da frente fica mais de lado, mas acho que ninguém nota que não era assim que era suposto ficar. Óbvio que tinha mesmo de o comprar! Apesar de estar um bocadinho fora do meu orçamento, não consegui resistir ao corte impecável e àquelas transparências lindas. É uma daquelas peças que seria pecado não comprar. 

O que acham? Gostam?

E o que é que pensam do facto de muitas marcas terem um número muito limitado de tamanhos? Por exemplo, a Zara tem peças que só estão disponíveis em tamanho S e M...A Mango também tem peças que só vão do S ao L... Espanta-me o facto das marcas não perceberem que estão a perder negócio. Percebo que algumas peças só sejam apresentadas em alguns tamanhos, de modo a não comprometer o design e a forma como a roupa é suposto ficar, mas estamos a falar de t-shirts e blazers banais... Mais um dos grandes mistérios da moda. Bem, contem-me o que acham de tudo isto.

Ah, também comprei vernizes e maquilhagem muito boa e baratinha. Mostro depois!

Princess Shoes, Ogre Feet...

When I first saw these shoes at Zara's website I thought they were nice, but I wasn't in love with them. However, something happened to me. The more I look at them, the more I want them...desperately. I am now completely obsessed with the simplicity and apparent comfort of this pure white wedge. I'm wondering if my ogre feet would fit in them... Wouldn't it be great if they did?

Quando vi este sapatos pela primeira vez no site da Zara, achei-os giros, mas não fiquei louca de paixão. Mas, algo aconteceu. Quanto mais olho para eles, mais os quero desesperadamente. Estou completamente obcecada pela simplicidade e aparente comforto destas cunhas. Mas pergunto-me se servirão nos meus "pézinhos" de ogre... Não era mesmo bom se servissem?

Hi everyone! I'm back from Portugal and ready to keep blogging!

All my time back home was family time! I missed them so much it was hard to keep me away from them, specially my little sister. So, as a result I kinda died to the fashion world! But worry not, I'm back!

Today I just wanna show you the gorgeous sweater/t-shirt? I got at Zara during my vacation. I was surprised it actually fit, but after seeing it on the website, I get it, it's meant to be loose and not so close to the body...But who cares? I look great in it and that's what it's all about, right? It's not so green as the picture shows, it's more of a blueish grey and it's a bit see-through, so if you're thinking about getting it and are more on the prude side, get a nude bra or top to wear underneath(a colored top may work as well, depending on the color).

I also got two great nail polishes by Andréia, a metallic green (81) and a metallic brown (50). I wish my bluetooth would be more cooperative so I could show you the pictures from my phone. Oh well...

As you can see I'm all about metallic and shimmer this Winter! How about you? Are you ready to rock this trend?

Todo o tempo que passei em casa foi dedicado à família. Tinha tantas saudades deles que não havia nada que me separasse deles, especialmente da minha maninha. Por isso, morri um bocadinho para o mundo da moda. Mas não se aflijam! Eu estou de volta!

Hoje quero-vos mostrar a malinha que comprei na Zara durante as férias. Na altura fiquei surpreendida por ter servido, mas depois de ter visto o site percebi tudo. Era suposto ser mais larga e não tão colada ao corpo. Mas também o que é que isso importa? O que interessa é que me fica super bem! Não é tão esverdeada como aparenta na foto, é mais um cinzento azulado e é um pouco transparente, por isso, quem estiver a pensar comprar e for assim mais para o púdico, é melhor ter um soutien ou top nude para vestir por baixo(um top colorido também funciona, dependendo da cor e do gosto de cada um, claro).

Também comprei uns vernizes lindos da Andréia, um verde metálico (81) e um castanho metálico (50). Queria mostrar-vos, mas o meu bluetooth não está a colaborar, por isso não consigo passar as fotos para o pc. Paciência...

Bom, como podem ver eu estou fascinada com os metálicos e brilhantes desta estação e vocês? Estão prontas para arrasar esta tendência?
