Woke up to a sunny and beautiful Dublin, but it's all over now. Rain is back! Thank God we have pretty magazines to look at.

I might actually go out in the rain to get Stellar, my favorite Irish mag.

Acordei com uma Dublin linda e solarenga, mas foi sol de pouca dura, literalmente. A chuva voltou! Mas pelo menos temos revistas bonitas para folhear.

Até sou capaz de sair para comprar a Stellar, a minha revista irlandesa de eleição.

I'm Back and I Brought Vogues

There are many things that make a bad blogger, being boring, being too judgmental, copying fellow bloggers... But  there's no bigger blogging sin than sloth. And for that one, I'm guilty.  I haven't blogged for about 3 weeks, so I totally deserve if all of you just mercilessly desert me (drama queen alert).  Even though, blogging is just a hobby, you seem to take me somewhat seriously, so I'll explain the reasons of my absence. I was home, in Portugal, for the holidays and I just immersed myself in my family life, leaving all other obligations behind. It was too much of a joy to be reunited with my family and friends to even think of something else. Such a joy to be reunited with my country, my language, my food and the places that are so familiar. There I cried almost every night, knowing that I had to leave all of them behind. Don't get me wrong. I am happy here in Dublin, but Dublin isn't home. Not yet. And my body reacted to me coming back by presenting me with a cold that has been tormenting me for days, hence the no blogging. 

I've missed so much of the fashion world during this time that it's embarrassing. But nothing can even compare to the time I spent home, specially the precious time I spent with my sister. Fashion time became reduced to Sales, styling my sister, watching Julia Petit's videos on Youtube (here's her website, Petiscos ) with her and to quickly flipping through the Portuguese Vogues from November to January that my mom gave me for Christmas as a joke, a great joke. The day before I left, I got the February issue (above), which is just another masterpiece. So beautiful, you are literally drawn to it. The model is Sara Sampaio, a Portuguese model, who kicks model ass.

Again, I apologize for leaving you, but I'll be a better blogger now. That is, until I go to Portugal again, of course...

Há muitas coisas que fazem um mau blogger, ser aborrecido, ser demasiado crítico, copiar os colegas bloggers... Mas não há maior pecado no mundo dos blogs que o pecado da preguiça. E desse, eu sou culpada. Não escrevo nada no blog há cerca de três semanas, por isso mereço mesmo que desertem todos e me abandonem sem dó nem piedade (drama queen alert). Apesar do blog ser apenas um hobby, vocês parecem levar-me algo a sério, por isso vou explicar as razões da minha ausência. Estive em Portugal durante duas semanas a passar o Natal e Ano Novo e fiquei absorvida pela minha vida familiar, deixando todas as obrigações para trás. Foi uma alegria tremenda estar de novo com a minha família e os meus amigos para sequer pensar noutra coisa qualquer. Foi uma alegria estar de novo no meu país, ouvir a minha língua, comer a minha comida e ver os sítios que me são familiares. Lá chorei quase todas as noites, sabendo que teria de voltar e deixá-los a todos. Não que não seja feliz aqui em Dublin, mas Dublin não é a minha casa, pelo menos por enquanto. Até o meu corpo reagiu ao meu regresso a Dublin, presenteando-me com uma constipação que me atormenta há dias, daí também o não escrever no blog.

Perdi tanto do mundo da moda que até tenho vergonha, mas não há nada que se compare ao tempo que passei em casa, especialmente o tempo precioso que passei com a minha irmã. O tempo dedicado à moda ficou reduzido aos Saldos, a vestir a minha irmã, a ver vídeos da Julia Petit no Youtube com ela (aqui fica o site dela, o Petiscos ) e passar pelas páginas das Vogues Portugal de Novembro a Janeiro que a minha mãe me ofereceu no Natal por graça. No dia antes de vir, comprei a edição de Fevereiro (em cima), que é mais uma obra de arte. Tão linda que a pessoa é literalmente puxada a ela. A modelo da capa é a Sara Sampaio, que na minha opinião, arrasa com muitas modelos famosas por aí. 
Mais uma vez, as minhas desculpas pelo abandono. Vou ser uma melhor blogger a partir de agora. Até ir de novo a Portugal, está claro...

Today I'm feeling better and more like myself again, despite the occasional migraine . But enough of being a granny.

After a wonderful sunny day in Dublin, the weather came back to its usual unstable crappy self! Not that I mind the rain or the cold, I just mind the bipolarity of this crazy Dublin sky. I just wanted to go out in this outfit, knowing that I'd be warm and dry the whole day. Or is it too much to ask?

How about you? What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear it? Even though I'm a bit...big, I would. I don't think horizontal stripes make you immediately bigger and skinny jeans can look ok, if they're the right size and not from the kids department. It's all about clothes that fit! Do you agree?

How about mixing different colors? Are you into that? I am! Although I own a lot of basics...Wish I could be bolder!

Olá pessoal fashion!

Hoje, já estou melhor. Já me sinto mais eu, tirando a ocasional enxaqueca. Mas já chega de síndrome de avózinha.

Depois de um dia cheio de solinho aqui em Dublin, o tempo voltou ao seu eu instável. Não que eu me importe com a chuva ou com o frio. O que me chateia é a bipolaridade deste tempo. Só queria sair à rua com uma roupinha destas e saber que me ia manter seca e sem frio o dia todo. Será que é pedir demais?

E vocês o que acham do conjuntinho? Usariam? Apesar de eu ser assim para o grandinha, até usaria. Não acho que as riscas horizontais tornem a pessoa imediatamente maior e as skinny jeans podem ficar bem se forem o número certo e não vierem da secção de criança. Acho que tem tudo a ver com o tamanho e como determinada peça assenta. Concordam?

E quanto à mistura de cores? Gostam desse estilo? Eu adoro, mas o meu armário está cheio de básicos. Gostava de ser mais ousada nesse aspecto.

Don't know if it's the rain and the cold, but since I moved to Dublin I have a new appreciation for all things exotic. So I couldn't resist this H&M necklace! Got it a couple of weeks ago, but I still haven't figured out a way to wear it. The weather's been so... Irish, a colourful tucan wouldn't fit in.

Não sei se é do frio e da chuva, mas desde que vim para Dublin, ganhei um gostinho por tudo o que é exótico. Por isso, não consegui resistir a este colar da H&M! Já o comprei há duas semanas, mas ainda não descobri forma de o usar. O tempo tem estado tão... irlandês, que um tucano colorido não ia ficar bem.

There's An Alligator On My Finger!

The great thing about living in Dublin is that there is a Topshop 20 minutes away from our place. Whenever I go there, I spend hours looking for a bargain. And those are hard to find!

I usualy go crazy around the jewelry corner. They have such cool stuff! But kinda expensive for me.However, today I got a bit insane and decided to take advantage of my student discount and buy myself a little something! I've been in love with this alligator ring since I saw it a month ago and today I finally got it.I put it on as soon as I got out of the store.

Absolutely love it!

A coisa boa de viver em Dublin é que há uma Topshop a 20 min de nossa casa. Sempre que lá vou fico horas à procura de uma pechincha. E são tão difíceis de encontrar!

Normalmente fico louquinha na secção das jóias. Têm coisas tão giras! Mas um bocadinho caras para mim. De qualquer modo, hoje fiquei assim um bocadinho para o louca e decidi aproveitar o desconto de estudante e lá comprei uma coisinha para mim.

Apaixonei-me por este anel assim que o vi, há um mês atrás. E hoje, finalmente, comprei-o! Pu-lo assim que saí da loja!

That Red Trench

Last night while going through "Coco's Tea Party" I found out this amazing Burberry trench! I was like "OMG! I just died and went to trench coat heaven!"! My boyfriend gave me that look that just screamed "You're out of your mind, girl!". And I was! I am! Don't know what got to me! I usually hate red! But no one can resist a well tailored red trench, I guess! It's Burberry after all!

Ontem à noite, enquanto explorava o "Coco's Tea Party" descobri este fantástico trench Burberry! Foi todo um "Oh meu Deus! Morri e fui parar ao paraíso dos trench coats"! O meu namorado olhou para mim com aquele ar que diz "Passou-se, coitadinha". E passei-me mesmo! Não sei o que me aconteceu! Eu nem gosto de vermelho! Mas acho que ninguém consegue resistir a um trench vermelho bem desenhado e construído! Afinal de contas é Burberry!

Guessing some of you might have missed me! No? Either way I feel I owe you an explanation for going MIA for so long! Believe it or not I left my sunny Portugal and came to very rainy Ireland! Why? Love... Moved in with my genius boyfriend, who's a badass geek in Dublin! Most people think I'm absolutely insane, but if I can't be crazy at 24, when will I have another chance?

And this is why I haven't posted anything in a while! Making all the travelling arrangements, packing (two days of trying to fit everything I own in two suitcases), and spending time with the ones I love and left behind... That kinda took precedence over blogging!

But now I'm back! And let me tell you, Dublin is a totally different fashion world! Carrying an umbrella is not only a necessity but also a fashion statement!

Versão Portuguesa: Peço imensa desculpa por não postar nada há tanto tempo, mas tenho andado super ocupada! Devido à loucura do amor, deixei o meu Portugal e vim para Dublin, viver com o meu namorado cromo, o géniozinho da informática! Como é óbvio, fazer as malas e tudo o resto tem-me mantido bastante ocupada! Mas agora estou de volta!

Dublin é muito diferente em termos de estilo! Apesar de haver H&M, Zara e afins, é toda uma nova dimensão! E os essenciais de estilo passaram de sandálias a galochas, e de tops a trench coats e não esquecer o sempre necessário chapéu de chuva! Vou-vos mantendo informados! Desejem-me sorte! Não que precise! Já me sinto a rapariga mais sortuda do mundo! :D
