Hi everyone! Another hot day in Dublin, so we went for a walk around town, had Italian ice cream, sunbathed in the park and now BBQ at a friend's with a lot of picanha (don't know what it is? I already googled it for you: look here). And since it's Brazilian hot and we're having a Brazilian dinner, I thought it'd be appropriate to share another favorite from Fashion Rio, Lenny. 

I really liked the combination of floral and geometric prints and the use of sleeves in the bathing suits, that has been very present in this Fashion Rio. I don't know how practical or wearable it really is on the beach, where people wanna wear the least possible, but I really like the concept of it. How about you?

Olá! Mais um dia quente em Dublin, por isso fomos dar uma volta, comer gelado italiano, apanhar sol no parque e a já a seguir há BBQ de picanha em casa de um amigo. E como estamos numa de brasileirada, achei apropriado partilhar convosco mais uma das minhas colecções preferidas do Fashion Rio, o da Lenny.

Gostei imenso da combinação dos padrões florais e geométricos e da aplicação de mangas nos fatos-de-banho, tendência que tem estado muito presente neste Fashion Rio. Não sei o quão prático ou usável será, sendo que a maioria das pessoas quer usar o mínimo possível na praia, mas gosto bastante do conceito. E vocês?

Perfect Swimwear For Imperfect Me

It's hot in Dublin! It's only 20ºC but it feels like Lisbon in August. It feels like Summer and I love it! I now feel stupid for refusing a trip to the south of France because I didn't want my boyfriend's friends to see me in a bikini. I really wish I could go back in time. A swim in the sea is definitely worth all the embarrassment in the world. Specially in such perfect swimwear.

Está calor em Dublin! Mesmo muito calor! Estão apenas 20ºC, mas a mim parece-me Lisboa em Agosto. Sabe-me a Verão e estou a adorar. Sinto-me tão estúpida e arrependida por ter recusado uma viagem ao sul de França, porque não querer que os amigos do meu namorado me vissem de bikini. Gostava mesmo de poder voltar atrás. Um mergulho no mar havia de compensar toda a vergonha do mundo. Especialmente em fatos-de-banho perfeitos como estes.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2012

Waking up to a sunny Dublin is a rare treat. It becomes a time to celebrate, a time to cherish and to remember for months to come.

On this special occasion of a sunny Dublin and 13ºC, I just feel like putting on an outfit like this 3.1 Phillip Lim. I know I'm pushing it at (just) 13ºC, but, man, this sun is begging for some cheerful spring clothes and I'm gonna give it to him (even if I have to wear a winter coat over it).

Acordar com uma Dublin solarenga é um prazer raro. Tanto que se torna num momento a celebrar, um momento para guradar no coração e relembrar por meses e meses.

Na ocasião especial do dia de hoje em que temos sol e 13ºC, só me apetece vestir um conjuntinho como este da 3.1 Phillip Lim. Sei que estou a abusar com (apenas) 13ºC, mas este sol está mesmo a pedir uma roupa de Primavera animadinha. E se ele pede, eu dou (mesmo que tenha de vestir um casacão de Inverno por cima).

Woke up to a sunny and beautiful Dublin, but it's all over now. Rain is back! Thank God we have pretty magazines to look at.

I might actually go out in the rain to get Stellar, my favorite Irish mag.

Acordei com uma Dublin linda e solarenga, mas foi sol de pouca dura, literalmente. A chuva voltou! Mas pelo menos temos revistas bonitas para folhear.

Hi everyone! I have been quite busy these last few days, so I haven't posted anything. I wanted to show you more Couture, but I guess you've seen it all by now.

So I bring you something exuberant and exciting. The February cover of Vogue Brasil featuring Brazilian bomb Adriana Lima. I feel the sun in my face and its warmth getting into my bones just by looking at it and that says a lot coming from someone living in Dublin. 

It's sad that I don't have access to this magazine very often. It's always stunning and it's in Portuguese...

Olá a todos! Tenho andado um bocadinho ocupada nestes últimos dias, por isso não tenho postado nada. Queria-vos mostrar mais Couture, mas acho que nesta altura do campeonato, já está tudo visto.

Assim, trago-vos algo exuberante e excitante. A capa de Fevereiro da Vogue Brasil com a bombástica Adriana Lima. Sinto o sol a bater-me na cara e o calor a entranhar-se nos meus ossos só de olhar para esta foto. E isso é dizer muito vindo de uma pessoa que vive em Dublin.

É pena que não tenha acesso a esta revista com regularidade. Tem sempre coisas lindas e é em português...Só vantagens!

Xmas Gifts For The Ones I Love

Today I meant to go Christmas shopping but it was so warm inside and so cold outside...I did manage to look for some inspiration and I found this amazing head band for my sister and these earmuffs for my mom. My sister is definitely the trendsetter in her preteen clique so this would be perfect. My mom on the other hand has a more romantic, lady like taste, which is why these crochet earmuffs would be a great gift. She's also very cold, so it's cute and practical.

Tomorrow I'll try to ignore this dreadful Irish weather and do some serious Christmas shopping! How about you? Are you done with your shopping? Do you like getting gifts for others? I love it! I just wish I wouldn't stress so much over the fact that it might not be the perfect gift!

Also, are you more frugal this year, since the crisis is really hitting or do you go crazy? I'm trying to get more useful gifts and buy less things, but all the pretty things keep calling me...

Hoje era para ter ido fazer as minha compras de Natal, mas estava tão quentinho cá dentro e tão frio lá fora... No entanto, andei pela net a inspirar-me e encontrei esta bandolete fantástica para a minha irmã e estas "orelhinhas" para a minha mãe. A minha irmã é sem dúvida, a trendsetter no seu grupinho de amigas pré-adolescente, por isso isto seria perfeito. A minha mãe tem um estilo mais romântico e lady like, o que faz com estas "orelhinhas" sejam um presente fantástico. Ela também é super friorenta, por isso não só é fofo como é prático.

Amanhã vou tentar ignorar este medonho tempo irlandês e fazer umas comprinhas! E vocês já fizeram as vossas compras? Gostam de oferecer presentes aos outros? Eu adoro! Só gostava ser menos stressada e preocupar-me menos em oferecer a prenda perfeita!

Ah e estão mais poupadinhos este ano com a crise ou vão enlouquecer na hora de comprar? Eu vou tentar oferecer menos coisas e coisas mais úteis, mas as coisas bonitas continuam a chamar tanto por mim...

Mulberry

I don't know about you, but I'm having such a Carmen Miranda moment! I'm craving fruit everywhere. In my closet, in my kitchen...Everywhere! Even my crib/nativity scene is an apple. Seriously! It's baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph inside the half of an apple. How cute is that? (If my camera works I'll post a picture of it.)

I used to think that fresh fruit was a Summer thing, but now I believe you can be fruity all year long. And to prove my theory I bring you the Mulberry Googly fruit jumpers in angora. They must be so warm and cozy! (And I'm so warm deprived! Coming to live in Ireland with a Portuguese wardrobe was such a mistake...) But despite the coziness and obvious cuteness, my boyfriend was wondering how a jumper could cost €370 (here), so I explained it was Mulberry. He still doesn't get it! Men...

Hey fashionable people!

Today I'm feeling better and more like myself again, despite the occasional migraine . But enough of being a granny.

After a wonderful sunny day in Dublin, the weather came back to its usual unstable crappy self! Not that I mind the rain or the cold, I just mind the bipolarity of this crazy Dublin sky. I just wanted to go out in this outfit, knowing that I'd be warm and dry the whole day. Or is it too much to ask?

How about you? What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear it? Even though I'm a bit...big, I would. I don't think horizontal stripes make you immediately bigger and skinny jeans can look ok, if they're the right size and not from the kids department. It's all about clothes that fit! Do you agree?

How about mixing different colors? Are you into that? I am! Although I own a lot of basics...Wish I could be bolder!

Olá pessoal fashion!

Hoje, já estou melhor. Já me sinto mais eu, tirando a ocasional enxaqueca. Mas já chega de síndrome de avózinha.

Depois de um dia cheio de solinho aqui em Dublin, o tempo voltou ao seu eu instável. Não que eu me importe com a chuva ou com o frio. O que me chateia é a bipolaridade deste tempo. Só queria sair à rua com uma roupinha destas e saber que me ia manter seca e sem frio o dia todo. Será que é pedir demais?

E vocês o que acham do conjuntinho? Usariam? Apesar de eu ser assim para o grandinha, até usaria. Não acho que as riscas horizontais tornem a pessoa imediatamente maior e as skinny jeans podem ficar bem se forem o número certo e não vierem da secção de criança. Acho que tem tudo a ver com o tamanho e como determinada peça assenta. Concordam?

E quanto à mistura de cores? Gostam desse estilo? Eu adoro, mas o meu armário está cheio de básicos. Gostava de ser mais ousada nesse aspecto.
