Not Just AnOther Magazine Cover

I know, I know, another magazine cover! But there was no way I wouldn't post this cover of "AnOther" magazine with Rachel Weisz and the little goat! There's something beautiful yet haunting about this picture. It somehow reminds me of the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik aka German Democratic Republic aka East Germany, the one with the commies). Maybe I've got some visual reference from "The Lives of Others" or something like that. Or maybe it's the wall behind her. Who knows? All I know for sure is that this is an awesome cover that could also double as an ad for something. Her gorgeous coat, perhaps?

Are you madly in love? And did you know AnOther? I confess I didn't, but after taking a look at this cover and their website, I'm very curious about it.

And since we're on the topic of magazines, I must say UK Vogue has a killer issue! And a fat one as well! Oh and how I love a fat magazine with endless pages to flip through!

Eu sei, eu sei, mais uma capa de revista. Mas não havia volta a dar. Eu tinha de vos mostrar esta capa da "AnOther" com a Rachel Weisz e a pequena cabrita. Há algo de muito belo e ao mesmo tempo perturbador nesta foto. Não sei bem porquê, mas lembra-me um bocadinho a DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik aka República Democrática Alemã aka Alemanha de Leste, aquela com os comunistazinhos) .Não sei se tenho alguma referência visual do filme " A vida dos outros" ou algo desse género, ou se é o muro atrás dela. O que é, só Deus sabe! O que eu sei é que esta é uma capa fantástica que também podia ser um anúncio de qualquer coisa. Do casaco maravilhoso dela, talvez?

E vocês, estão completamente apaixonados? Conheciam esta revista? Confesso que não conhecia, mas depois de ver esta capa e dar uma espreitadela ao site deles, fiquei muito curiosa.

E já que estamos no tópico de revistas, tenho a dizer que a Vogue UK de Outubro está muito boa sim sr.! E vem gordinha! Oh, como eu adoro uma revista gordinha, com páginas infinitas para eu virar!

Adele is the bomb! She's got the voice, the looks, the personality! I absolutely love her! Her music is so full of soul it hurts! Oh, how I could have used some Adele in my teens and early early twenty's! I can totally picture myself listening to her and singing along while desperately crying in the darkness of my room! Drama, drama, drama! But I've moved on and so has she! I'm slightly less dramatic and she's on the cover of Vogue (she wins) ! When I found out about it I almost died with excitement! It's a beautiful cover wouldn't you say? Not the most fashion forward but beautiful and that's all I'm asking from Vogue these days. I love a full cover like this, powerful face, lot's of hair... And the mustard letters...so fall appropriate! And Adele herself...doesn't she look gorgeous?

I must get my issue today or all hell's gonna break loose! The magazine itself looks interesting. I'm dying to read the article on Azzedine Alaïa!

A Adele á a maior! Tem a voz, a beleza, a personalidade! Adoro-a! A música dela é tão cheia de sentimento que até dói! Oh, a Adele tinha-me dado tanto jeitinho nos meus anos de adolescência e no início dos meus 20 anos! Já me estou a imaginar no escurinho do meu quarto a ouvi-la e a cantar enquanto chorava desesperadamente...Drama, drama, drama! Mas eu já evoluí e a Adele também! Eu estou um bocadinho menos dramática e a Adele está na capa da Vogue (acho que ela ganha) ! Quando descobri, quase morri de ansiedade! A capa está bem bonita, não está? Não é a mais à frente, mas está bonita e só isso que eu peço à Vogue, por enquanto. Adoro uma capa cheia como esta. Uma cara bonita, montes de cabelo! E as letras em amarelo mustarda...tão apropriado ao Outono! E a própria Adele...não está linda?

Tenho de comprar a Vogue hoje ou isto vai acabar mal! O próprio conteúdo parece interessante e stou mortinha por ler o artigo sobre o Azzedine Alaïa!

Kate's New Beginning

Finally a Vogue Uk cover that does it for me! (The last cover was so bad I didn't even buy the magazine...That's how bad it was! You all know what I'm talking about right?) Kate and Mario never let you down I guess! Specially if there is a Miu Miu dress involved! Right now I'm flipping the pages like a maniac! Loving loving the August edition!

(Is it me or does Kate look a bit like Uma Turman in this picture? And when I say looks like I mean they look like twins separated at birth!)

(Sou só eu ou a Kate está um bocadinho parecida com a Uma Turman nesta foto? E quando digo parecida quero dizer mesmo igual, tipo gémeas separadas à nascença!)

Since the blog wasn't working very well on the weekend and I've been busy busy (birthday, in-laws in town...) I'm gonna leave you with some photos from Kate's wedding!

Absolutely loved the custom John Galliano dress and the amazingly romantic and sweet veil!

I thought it was really cool that Kate had such a traditional wedding. Wasn't expecting that from her! But what impressed me the most was how happy and excited they were! Aww! Congratulations Kate and Jamie! Hope you're happy together!

Finalmente uma capa da Vogue UK que funciona! ( A última era tão má que nem tive vontade de comprar! Era assim tão má! Vocês sabem do que é que estou a falar, certo?) Acho que a Kate e o Mario nunca desiludem! Especialmente se houver um vestido Miu Miu envolvido no esquema! Agora estou a passar as páginas como uma maluquinha! Adoro mesmo a edição de Agosto!

E como o blogue não estava a funcionar no fim-de-semana e tenho andado ocupadérrima (aniversário, sogrinhos a visitar...), deixo-vos umas fotos do casamento da Kate.

Adorei o vestido John Galliano e o véu super romântico! Achei giro que o casamento da Kate tenha sido tão tradicional! Não estava à espera! Mas o que mais me impressionou foi o quão felizes e animados eles estavam! Aww! Parabéns Kate e Jamie! Espero que sejam muito felizes juntos!
