I wish I had the time and energy to do a post on London Fashion Week, but I really don't. Not today. However, I didn't wanna go another day without blogging, so I decided to show you Parfois newest Spring collection. I'm loving pretty much everything and I'm really crazy over the bag in the first picture. Gotta have it!

De qualquer modo não queria deixar passar mais um dia sem postar nada, por isso decidi partilhar convosco a colecção nova da Parfois. Today I'm showing some things I bought on my birthday. I didn't want to, but I was making time to have dinner and decided to go to Accessorize. I wasn't buying anything, but there were sales and it was my birthday, so I thought "What the hell, I deserve this".
I fell in love with half the store but I narrowed it down to these small and delicate pieces that would easily fit in my summer wardrobe. It was great that I found this evil eye bracelet. I had been looking for one I could wear everyday and this is just perfect.

Hoje venho-vos mostrar umas coisinhas que comprei no meu dia de anos. Eu não queria, mas como estava a fazer tempo para ir jantar, decidi entrar na Accessorize. Não era para comprar nada, mas havia saldos e era o aniversário então pensei "Que se lixe, eu mereço!".
É óbvio que me apaixonei por metade da loja, mas consegui reduzir o estrago a estas peças. São pequenas e delicadas e super fáceis de incorporar no meu guarda-roupa de Verão. E foi fantástico ter encontrado esta pulseira com o olho do mau olhado. Já há algum tempo que procurava uma gira que desse para usar todos os dias e esta é perfeita.
Hi everyone! Here I am as promised showing you the gorgeous things I got last week, when I went on my well deserved shopping spree. I also thought it'd be nice to share some of my top shopping tips.
Olá a todos! Como prometido, aqui estou para vos mostrar as minhas comprinhas mais recentes, que fiz na minha merecida maratona de compras. Também achei que seria útil partilhar algumas das técnicas que uso quando vou às compras.
#1 - Make a list
Having a list was very helpful. Not only does it remind you of you have to get, but it also prevents unnecessary purchases.
This was my list:
1 pair of Evans pastel jeans - which I got in coral for €30
1 or two plain white t-shirts- got 1 plain t at H&M for €9 and another one with a frilly hem at Penneys/Primark for €6
1 fancy and versatile top I could wear on a job interview or out to dinner - the coral one by Dorothy Perkins for €22. It has a beautiful color and shape and a great detail on the shoulders. It's a bit see-through so I need to wear it with a camisole underneath.
1 casual top - shell and starfish print top by Dorothy Perkins for €13
1 peplum top that would not look terrible on me - unfortunately I couldn't find one, but I haven't given up just yet.
1 small treat under €10 - great golden tribal earrings by Dorothy Perkins that I've been dreaming about for the last couple of weeks. They were €10.
#1- Faz uma lista
Ter uma lista ajuda bastante. Não só nos lembra aquilo que precisamos comprar, como também evita que compremos coisas desnecessárias.
Esta foi a minha lista:
1 par de calças em pastel da Evans- que comprei em coral por €30
1 ou 2 t-shirts brancas - comprei uma simples na H&M por €9 e uma na Penneys/Primark com um folhinho nos rebordos por €6
1 top mais aprumadinho, mas versátil que desse tanto para uma entrevista de trabalho, como para uma saída à noite- comprei um coral mais neon da Dorothy Perkins por €22. Tem uma cor linda e um pormenor giríssimo nas mangas. É um pouco transparente, por isso tem de ser usado com algo por baixo.
1 top casual - o top com estampa de conchinhas e estrelas do mar da Dorothy Perkins por €13
1 top em peplum que não ficasse medonho - infelizmente ainda não foi desta, mas não vou desistir.
1 miminho de valor inferior a €10 - comprei estes brincos tribais da Dorothy Perkins por €10. já andava a sonhar com uns assim há imenso tempo.
#2 - Pay with cash
I always pay cash, cause seeing the money actually gives me the sense of how much I'm spending. Another technique I use is to keep the money in separate parts of my wallet, so I get a better idea of how much is going away. For example, keep €20 in your coin pocket, €30 where you keep my cards, and so on...
I've been doing this since I'm a teen and it has always worked for me.
#2 Paga com dinheiro
Pago sempre com dinheiro, porque assim tenho uma maior noção do dinheiro que estou a gastar. Outra técnica que uso é ter o dinheiro em diferentes partes da carteira, para perceber melhor quanto estou a gastar. Ponho, por exemplo, €20 na parte das moedas, €30 na parte dos cartões e por aí adiante.
Faço isto desde a adolescência e tenho-me dado bem.
#3 - Avoid Traps
Lately I've been avoiding shops that I know have beautiful things I couldn't resist but that I don't really need. For instance, if I'm going to buy clothes or shoes, I don't go in to stores that only sell jewelry or make-up. The other day, I almost went in Accessorize, but I didn't cause I didn't need anything from there, avoiding to spend the rest of my money of beautiful things I don't need.
#3 - Evita lojas armadilha
Nos últimos tempos tenho evitado lojas com aquelas coisas lindas que eu acabo sempre por comprar, mesmo não estando na minha lista. Por exemplo, se vou comprar roupa ou sapatos, não entro em lojas de bijuteria ou maquilhagem. No outro dia quase que entrei na Accessorize, mas contive-me, porque não precisava de nada de lá. Assim, evitei gastar o meu precioso e escasso dinheiro em lindas coisas de que não preciso mesmo nada.
# 4 - Use only one bag
As I was walking towards Henry Street (where I did my shopping here in Dublin) I realized how many bags one collects when shopping and how much of a waste it really is. Not that I trow them away. I use them to keep things or as trash bags, but really, there's only so many bags a person needs. So I decided to put everything in the same bag. But you can do better. You can take your own reusable shopping bag like you do when you go groceries' shopping. The environment appreciates it. #4 - Usa apenas um saco
Enquanto me dirigia à Henry Street (onde fiz as comprinhas aqui em Dublin), apercebi-me da quantidade de sacos que uma pessoa acumula quando vai às compras e quão grande é o desperdício. Não que os deite fora. Uso-os sempre para guardar coisas ou como sacos do lixo, mas há um número limitado de sacos que uma pessoa precisa nesta vida. Por isso decidi pôr tudo no mesmo saco. Mas ainda podemos fazer melhor. Podemos levar o nosso próprio saco, como fazemos como vamos às compras. O ambiente agradece.
I have to say I've never been heavier but I never felt more at peace while shopping. Instead of getting mad for not fitting in a certain garment, I just got a bigger size. And when certain things didn't look good on me, like this one. I just put them back, accepting that I can't look fabulous in everything. Age really does bring peace and confidence. Praise the Lord! Oh and I must add that I got to do all this shopping with money my mom and my grandparents sent for my birthday. Thank you!:)
E tenho a dizer que nunca estive tão gorda, mas nunca me senti tão em paz numa ida às compras. Em vez de ficar zangada quando algo não me servia, ia buscar o tamanho acima. E se não houvesse tamanho maior, paciência.
E quando algo não me ficava bem, como esta, punha-a de lado e aceitava o facto de não poder ficar fabulosa em tudo.
A idade traz mesmo paz e confiança. Graças a Deus!
Ah e tenho de acrescentar que comprei isto tudo com dinheiro que a minha mãe e os meus avós me enviaram como prenda de anos. Obrigada! :)

Today was such a lazy day! I started preparing a post about my shopping yesterday, including some tricks that I use so I don't go bankrupt, but I was overwhelmed by laziness, sleepiness and other bad things and couldn't finish it. And since tonight I'm going out, I'll leave it for tomorrow. So today we get the usual countdown (that is coming to an end. yay, I'm almost 26!). This time I decided to share this necklace from H&M that I saw the other day. I think it'd look great with a white t-shirt (I've been obsessed with white t-shirts and statement necklaces lately), don't you think?
Next week I'll try to hunt it down at H&M.

Hoje foi um dia tão cheio de preguiça! Comecei a preparar o meu post sobre as minhas compras de ontem, que inclui uns truques que eu uso para não ir à falência, mas comecei a sentir uma preguiça e um sono que já não consegui acabar. E como vou sair hoje à noite, vou deixar o post para amanhã. Assim, hoje, temos a habitual contagem decrescente, que já está a chegar ao fim (yay Já estou quase a fazer anos!). Desta vez decidi partilhar este colar que vi na H&M no outro dia. Acho que ficava um máximo com uma t-shirt branca (Ando obcecada com t-shirts brancas e colares enormes. Acho que fica lindo!), não acham?
My 26th birthday in exactly one month away (God, am I really this old?) and time passes so fast, I decided to have a countdown, so I won't get too lost. And what a better way to do it than with beautiful things I wouldn't mind getting for my birthday?
O meu 26º aniversário é daqui a um mês (Oh meu Deus, já sou assim tão velha?) e o tempo passa tão depressa, que para não me perder, decidi fazer uma contagem decrescente. E que melhor forma de o fazer do que mostrando coisinhas lindas que eu não me importava nada (mesmo nadinha) de receber nos meus anos?

Anna Dello Russo has finally joined forces with H&M to create an accessories collection available next Autumn.
The collection that includes jewelry,sunglasses, shoes, bags and even a trolley will be in selected stores and online on October 4th.

A colecção que iclui, jóias, óculos de sol, malas, sapatos e até um trolley, estará disponível online e em lojas seleccionadas dia 4 de Outubro.
About this great opportunity, Anna says: "I am excited by this collaboration. This is the first time H&M have involved a Fashion Director in a special project. In the video above Anna talks about the inspirations of the collection and about her own relationship with fashion, describing herself as a fashion victim, rather than a fashion icon.
Although I agree she is a major fashion victim, possibly, the biggest one of all, she is undeniably one of the biggest fashion icons of all times. That being said, we can all expect this collaboration to be a major hit for the Nordic retailer.
I am obviously excited about this collection and can't wait for October. It's really my favorite H&M collaboration so far. I mean, over the top accessories? I'm in!
I haven't really bought anything from previous H&M collaborations (although, I really wanted to), but I will surely get something from this collection. Got my eyes on that beyond cute turquoise clutch with the dear and an animal bracelet or necklace. The sunglasses are also amazing, but only if I get really really rich.

No vídeo acima, Anna fala no que a inspirou para criar esta colecção e sobre a sua própria relação com a moda, descrevendo-se mais como uma vítima da moda do que propriamente um ícone.
Apesar de concordar com o facto de ela ser uma vítima, possivelmente a maior de todas, ele é, sem dúvida, um dos maiores ícones de moda de todos os tempos. Dito isto, acho que podemos esperar que esta colaboração seja um grande êxito para a marca nórdica.
Eu cá estou obviamente louca e não posso esperar por Outubro. É mesmo a minha colaboração preferida até à data. É que, acessórios extravagantes? Contem comigo!
Nunca comprei nenhuma peça de nenhuma das colaborações anteriores (apesar de querer bastante), mas esta não me escapa. Já estou de olho naquela clutch azul com um veado e estou a pensar numa pulseira ou colar em forma de animal. Os óculos também chamam por mim, mas só se a pessoa aqui enriquecer assim de repente.

Jil Sander ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2012/2013 - The accessories
Not only were the clothes impressive, but the accessories were also to die for. Shoes that combined a sporty, jogging vibe with the class of a stiletto and bags that remained simple and modern while still keeping a lot of visual interest. Again, Jil Sander in a nutshell.
As expected my favorite piece was the blue iridescent clutch. I'm like a 5 year old. I just like shiny things...
As roupas eram lindas, mas os acessórios também são de morrer. Sapatos que combinam uma vibe desportiva com a classe de um stiletto e malas que, apesar de simples e modernas, conseguiram manter um grande impacto visual. De novo, tudo o que a Jil Sander representa.
Como já era de esperar, a minha peça preferida é a mala azul irisdescente. Parece que tenho 5 anos. Gosto de coisas brilhantes e pronto!

Thankfuly, this H&M bracelet was cheap enough not to make me feel guilty! Plus, it's environmentally friendly, cause it's made from recycled plastic! Now that I think about it, that's the only reason why I bought it, to help mother nature! Yeah, that's it! (Denial's always the first step, right?) Also available in a peachy coral and in a smaller size.
Felizmente, esta pulseira da H&M foi barata o suficiente para não me sentir culpada! Mais, é amiga do ambiente, porque é feita de plástico reciclado! Agora que penso nisso, foi essa a única razão pela qual a comprei, para ajudar a mãe natureza! Sim, é isso! (A negação é sempre o primeiro passo, certo?)
