Adele for US Vogue, March 2012 - Although Adele is a singing superstar and not a model, it's still exciting to see a plus-size girl on the cover of a major magazine. Apesar da Adele ser uma estrela da música e não uma modelo, é bastante emocionante ver uma menina de tamanho grande na capa de uma revista desta dimensão.

When I was sick as a kid, I'd sit in bed and read "Anita" books (aka Martine in the original French). If you're a girl born in the last 4 decades, you're bound to know them. My collection is huge and I'm still completing it and reading it with the same excitement. However, my books are in Portugal and I'm sick in Dublin. So what's the next best thing? Fashion magazines. Here are a few that I wouldn't mind having to help me through this cold. Honestly, I have little knowledge of what's inside, but the covers...They just sold it for me. Loving all the pretty, the odd, the furry and the cleavage!

Quando estava doente em pequenina, sentava-me na cama a ler os livros da Anita (Qualquer menina nascida nas últimas quatro décadas, conhece estes livros.). A minha colecção é enorme e ainda a leio e completo com o mesmo entusiasmo de antigamente. No entanto, os meus livros estão em Portugal e eu estou doente em Dublin... Qual a solução? Ler revistas de moda, claro! Aqui vos deixo umas que não me importava nada de ter para me ajudar a ultrpassar esta maldita gripe. Sinceramente, desconheço a maioria do conteúdo, mas as capas...As capas são suficientes. Conquistada pela beleza, o bizarro, a pêlo e o decote.

Spending the last couple of days in bad has been less than amusing. My head is spinning and just the act of writing this post is making me wanna rip it off. But since I'm trying to be a good, respectable and reliable blogger I'll share with you the most beautiful collection I've seen these last few days. It's the collection everyone is talking and blogging about, J.Crew Fall 2012. It's just perfect. It has the most mesmerizing  trousers with most amazing prints. Reminds a bit of an old lady's style, you know? A mix of styles, materials and prints that is so popular with grannies all over the world. It's also very me. Not that I dress like this. I don't! But it's how I'd love to dress.

Oh, I forgot, the shoes are by Manolo Blahnik. I confess I'm more of a platform gal, but how can I  not love these beautiful shoes?

Ter passado estes últimos dia na cama não tem sido muito divertido. Tenho a cabeça a andar à roda e só o acto de escrever este post, me está a dar vontade de a arrancar. Mas, sendo que estou a tentar ser uma blogger melhor, mais respeitável e de confiança, vou partilhar convosco a colecção mais bonita que vi nestes últimos dias. É a colecção de que toda a gente fala e sobre a qual toda a gente "bloga"(?), a colecção de J.Crew para o próximo Inverno. É simplesmente perfeita e tem as calças mais fantásticas, com os padrões mais maravilhosos. Lembra-me um bocadinho o estilo das velhinhas, sabem? Aquela mistura de estilos, materiais e padrões tão popular entre avózinhas de todo o mundo. Também é muito eu! Não que eu me vista assim. Não visto mesmo. Mas era assim que gostava de me vestir no mundo ideal.
