Vintage Digital - Pedro Lourenço Fall 2013

Described as "vintage digital" by the 22 year old Brazilian designer himself, Pedro Lourenço's collection took inspiration from surrealism and legends Diana Vreeland and Elsa Schiaparelli. A wearable mix of old and modern and delicate and tough that really stood out for me during this PFW.

Descrita como "vintage digital" pelo próprio designer brasileiro de 22 anos, a colecção de Pedro Lourenço teve como inspiração o surrealismo e as lendas Diana Vreeland e Elsa Schiaparelli.  Uma mistura usável de antigo e moderno e delicado e duro que se destacou durante esta semana de moda de Paris.

Jogging In Stilettos - Jil Sander at Milan Fashion Week

Jil Sander ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2012/2013 - The accessories 

Not only were the clothes impressive, but the accessories were also to die for. Shoes that combined a sporty, jogging vibe with the class of a stiletto and bags that remained simple and modern while still keeping a lot of visual interest. Again, Jil Sander in a nutshell. 

As expected my favorite piece was the blue iridescent clutch. I'm like a 5 year old. I just like shiny things...

As roupas eram lindas, mas os acessórios também são de morrer. Sapatos que combinam uma vibe desportiva com a classe de um stiletto e malas que, apesar de simples e modernas, conseguiram manter um grande impacto visual. De novo, tudo o que a Jil Sander representa.

Como já era de esperar, a minha peça preferida é a mala azul irisdescente. Parece que tenho 5 anos. Gosto de coisas brilhantes e pronto!

A Proper Goodbye - Jil Sander at Milan Fashion Week

Jil Sander ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2012/2013

Raf Simons has left Jil Sander. Where he's going, we don't know, but he certainly left in style. Yesterday's show really was a proper goodbye. It was minimal, feminine, classic, modern...A true homage to what Jil Sander is all about and to what Raf Simons gave to the brand throughout the years. 

In the end a standing ovation was awaiting. Not only for a marvelous collection, but mostly for a great contribution to Jil Sander and the fashion world.

It is sad to see him go, because I don't even remember a Jil Sander without him. For me, he was the genius behind one of my favorite fashion houses. He was Jil Sander! However, I can't help but to be excited about the comeback of Jil herself, to the brand she founded over 40 year ago in 1968.

In the end all we can say is: Thank you, Raf for keeping the Jil Sander soul alive for so long!

Raf Simons deixou a Jil Sander. O que se segue para ele, ninguém sabe, mas que ele saiu em greande estilo saiu. O desfile de ontem foi uma despedida digna. Minima, feminino, clássico, moderno...Uma verdadeira homenagem a tudo o que a Jil Sander representa e a tudo o que Raf deu à marca ao longo dos anos.

No final, uma ovação em pé, esperava o designer. Não só por uma maravilhosa colecção, mas essencialmente pela fantástica contribuição que fez à marca e ao mundo da moda.

Foi triste vê-lo partir, porque nem sequer me lembro de uma Jil Sander sem ele. Para mim, ele era o génio por detrás de uma das minhas marcas preferidas. Ele era a Jil Sander! No entanto, não consigo evitar a ansiedade que sinto pelo regresso da própria Jil à marca que criou há mais de 40 anos, em 1968.

No final, só há que dizer: Obrigada, Raf Simons, por manteres o espírito da Jil Sander vivo por tanto tempo!
