Couture Parfait - Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2014

I have been called delusional for thinking Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel has the same feel season after season but, honestly, sometimes all I see are shapes and tweeds that were done and redone way too many times. When I started going through the images of Chanel's most recent couture show, I felt I had seen that oversize tweed jacket and tweed crop top before. However, not wanting to give up on Chanel, because it is Chanel after all, I carried on and what I discovered was a bit more than more of the same. It was the future and 80's faded pastels and my Rollerblade Barbie (fanny pack included) all in one show (sigh!). Top that if you can, couturiers!

Miss Sporty Dior - Dior Resort 2014

Dior is taking the resort or cruise concept seriously with this chic and sporty collection fit for a week getaway in a yacht. Raf really hit the spot with the zipper dresses and the mix of bold colors, classic black and white and sea foam palette. What else can one say? Yet another genius collection by fashion's golden boy!

A Dior levou à letra o conceito de colecção resort, ou cruzeiro, com esta colecção clássica e desportiva, perfeita para uma semana de férias num iate. Raf Simons acertou na mouche com vestidos com zipper e na mistura de cores arrojadas com o clássico preto e branco e com uma paleta de cores a lembrar a espuma do mar. Apenas mais uma colecção genial do queridinho do mundo da moda.

Vintage Digital - Pedro Lourenço Fall 2013

Described as "vintage digital" by the 22 year old Brazilian designer himself, Pedro Lourenço's collection took inspiration from surrealism and legends Diana Vreeland and Elsa Schiaparelli. A wearable mix of old and modern and delicate and tough that really stood out for me during this PFW.

Descrita como "vintage digital" pelo próprio designer brasileiro de 22 anos, a colecção de Pedro Lourenço teve como inspiração o surrealismo e as lendas Diana Vreeland e Elsa Schiaparelli.  Uma mistura usável de antigo e moderno e delicado e duro que se destacou durante esta semana de moda de Paris.
