Must confess I'm obsessed with one photo of this editorial. The one of the black dress with the boob hanging out. Why? First it's a boob, so I kinda gravitate towards it, but mostly because it's telling "fashionistas" that it's ok to have boobs, you're still gonna look great in clothes and if not you just pop one boob out and be done with it.

I'm really loving the fact that Kate Upton really is supermodel material. A nice slap in the face to those who criticized her for being too sexy for fashion. Like being too sexy should ever be a problem...

 Also super glad to see that Vogue Italia is really taking the "Health Initiative" serious. And quite frankly I expected them to, cause if there is a Vogue in this world that celebrates all body types is Vogue Italia (as you can see here).

 Truly hope to see more different bodies on all fashion magazines and Kate on more and more covers and on next year's VS show if that's not too much to ask.

Oh and God bless the 80's, right kids? We really do need more covers like this!

Tenho de confessar que estou completamente obcecada com uma foto deste editorial. A do vestido preto com a mama de fora. Porquê? Bem, primeiro porque tem uma mama, por isso eu iria sempre gravitar à volta dela e segundo porque mostra às "fashionistas" deste mundo que se pode ter mamas, que as roupas vão assentar bem, mesmo com mamas, e se não ficarem, é só sacar a mama para fora e acabou-se a história.

E adoro mesmo o facto da Kate Upton estar a mostrar ter potencial de supermodelo. Uma boa chapada na cara de quem a criticou por ser demasiado sexy para o mundo da moda. Como se ser sexy pudesse ser um problema...

E também estou super contente com o facto da Vogue Italia estar levar a "Health Initiative" mesmo a sério. Se bem que eu já esperava que o fizessem, porque  se há Vogue que celebra todos os tipos de corpo é a Vogue Italia (como podem ver aqui).

Espero, sinceramente, ver mais variedade de corpos em todas as revistas de moda e a Kate em mais e mais capas e, se não for pedir muito, no próximo desfile da Victoria's Secret.

Ah e Deus abençoe os 80's, certo crianças? Precisamos mesmo de mais capas como esta!

Vintage Dreamland - Prada Spring/Summer 2012 Campaign

Once my sister asked me who my favorite designer was. Without even thinking, the words Miuccia Prada came out of my mouth, and from that day, it was settled, she is my favorite designer. I've talked about what her designs mean to me here on the blog, but I shall share that again. Miuccia puts my dreams and my fantasies on the runway and sends me back to my dream land. Every single time! This American 50's inspired collection is no different. Actually, this is one of my favorites ever. And so is the campaign. I guess it must have something to do with my dream of doing a road trip through the US in a muscle car, stopping for gas in the hot desert...Maybe 2012 is the year! And maybe, just maybe, I'll look as great as these gals! 

The Prada SS2012 campaign was shot by Steven Meisel and features models Meghan Collison, Elise Crombez, Katryn Kruger, Natasha Poly, Ymre Stiekema and Guinevere Van Seenus, the current face of Miu Miu.

Uma vez a minha irmã perguntou-me quem era o meu designer preferido. Sem pensar, as palavras Miuccia Prada saíram-me da boca, e a partir desse dia ficou decidido, ela é a minha designer preferida. Já disse aqui no blog o que é que o dedign dela signifca para mim, mas vou partilhar de novo. A Miuccia põe todos os meus desejos e fantasias na passarela e transporta-me de novo para o meu mundo imaginário. E fá-lo sempre! Esta colecção inspirada no estilo americano dos anos 50 não foi diferente. Na verdade, esta é uma das minha colecções preferidas de sempre. Assim como a campanha. Acho que deve estar relacionado com o facto de um dos meus sonhos ser fazer uma road trip pelos EUA, num daqueles muscle cars americanos e ir parando no deserto quente para atestar... Talvez 2012 seja o ano! E talvez, com um bocadinho de sorte, eu vá estar tão gira como estas miúdas!

A campanha de P/V 2012 da Prada foi fotografada por Steven Meisel e conta com a participação das modelos Meghan Collison, Elise Crombez, Katryn Kruger, Natasha Poly, Ymre Stiekema e Guinevere Van Seenus, a actual cara da Miu Miu.

Too Twisted

Vogue Italia has apparently succumbed to pressure by removing this picture of Karlie Kloss from their website vogue.it . The model covers the December issue of the magazine, that also includes and editorial with the model photographed by Steven Meisel. The editorial named "Body by Kloss" shows the very skinny model (aren't they all?) in hardly any clothes showing off her barely there body.

Honestly I think it was a mistake. This photo, apart from disturbing, is a great fashion photo and say what you want, but that pose isn't impossible. I'm 95kg and I can do it! Well, almost. But the point is, that is not impossible for a body without fat. Now, how that body is without fat, I cannot tell. Is she naturally skinny? Does she suffer from an eating disorder? Is she a skinny person that works out a lot? I don't know! But it's unfair to judge a model and a photo because some girls got jealous!

That's not my ideal body by far, but it's her body and we are to judge? We should be more shocked by her performance at the Victoria's Secret's show! What was all that? Oh well, the guys seemed to have liked it. Yesterday, one of my boyfriends' friends was commenting on how that show was the best thing he's ever seen. I thought he was absolutely insane, but instead of saying anything I just kept my mouth shut, hoping they would forget this 95kg fat girl was there and that I'm actually dating one of their friends...

So what are your thoughts on this? Was Vogue Italia right taking out that photo from the website? Is that photo really that bad? And how about Karlie Kloss's talent as a model?

And this one's for the girls: Do you ever feel embarrassed for your boyfriend being with you? I mean, that he is dating you and not some hot girl? I get that sometimes...Please, don't tell me I'm alone on this one!

It's Going To Be a Cold Winter After All

I'm absolutely blown away by this cover of Vogue Italia! I just find it so beautiful. So cold, but yet so inviting. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I always wanted to be a very pale red head. I also love the grey used on the cover. So simple and elegant. So tell me, do you love it as much as I do?

And how about the fact that Vogue Italia is never a month ahead? I mean, how brilliant is it that they actually sell October's issue in October? Visionaries I say, visionaries! But seriously, doesn't that make much more sense? Just sayin...

Estou absolutamente arrebatada por esta capa da Vogue Italia! Acho-a tão bonita. Tão fria, mas ao mesmo tempo tão convidativa. Acho que tem algo a ver com o facto de sempre ter desejado ser uma ruíva muito pálida como a mocinha da capa. Também adoro o cinzento usado na capa.Tão simples e elegante. Mas digam-me, também estão a vibrar tanto como eu?

E esta história da Vogue nunca estar um mês adiantada? Quer dizer, não é brilhante o facto de venderem a Vogue de Outubro em Outubro? Visionários, digo-vos eu, visionários! Mas, a sério, não faria muito mais sentido? Não sei, digo eu...

I just had to have the June issue of Vogue Italia, an issue dedicated to plus sized beauty featuring three curvy models on the cover (Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawly). The girls were shot in black and white by Steven Meisel and the result is a sultry editorial that just makes you wanna have that big greasy burger!

It really feels great to see girls that kinda look like you (only a million times better) on the most coveted cover in the world. Hope the rest of the fashion world is watching and taking notes!

Simplesmente não podia passar sem comprar a Vogue Itália de Junho! Com três modelos curvilíneas na capa (Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawly), a edição de Junho salienta que a beleza engloba mais que um só tamanho.

As raparigas foram fotografadas a preto e branco por Steven Meisel e o resultado é um editorial sensual que nos faz esquecer as dietas e comer aquele hamburger cheio de gordura!

É mesmo ver raparigas que até se parecem comigo (só que muito mais giras) na capa mais cobiçada do mundo. Espero que o resto do mundo da moda esteja a ver e a tirar notas!
