The Oscars...The night when Hollywood stars have the fashion world at their feet...Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it's a tragedy...But it always depends on who's looking at it. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
So here are my top 5 in order of preference:

Gwyneth Paltrow just killed it with this Top Ford dress and cape. So beautiful and so unexpected for the red carpet. /A Gwyneth Paltrow arrasou com este vestido e capa Tom Ford. Lindos e super inesperado para um evento destes.
Rooney Mara looked stunning in Givenchy. It was an expected choice, but nonetheless, a very good one./ Rooney Mara estava deslumbrante em Givenchy. Uma escolha óbvia, mas que não desiludiu.
Michelle Williams wore a Louis Vuitton dress and Bottega Veneta clutch. Loved the pink of the clutch against the coral red of the the dress. It's elegant, it's red carpet, but it's still different, still Michelle./ Michelle Williams usou um vestido Louis Vuitton e clutch Bottega Veneta. Adorei o contraste do rosa da clutch com o vermelho coral do vestido. É elegante, é passadeira vermelha, mas ainda assim, diferente e muito Michelle.
Judy Greer looked amazing in Monique Lhuillier. A very glamorous dress with clean lines that made her body look insane./ Jusy Greer estava fantástica em Monique Lhuillier. Um vestido glamoroso e de linhas simples que fez muito pela sua figura.
Shailene Woodley was beautiful and sweet in Valentino Haute Couture. Although it was a matte white, the dress just felt rich and red carpet appropriate. It is Valentino Haute Couture after all.../Shailene Woodley estava linda em Valentino Haute Couture. Apesar de ser um branco mate, o vestido tinha um toque de riqueza e de passadeira vermelha. Afinal é Valentino Haute Couture...

Best supporting actress winner Octavia Spencer representing the big girls in a beautiful Tadashi Shoji. I'm fat and I know how difficult it is to look glamorous and beautiful, specially in a dress. I mean, the woman deserved an Oscar just for that act of courage. She also had one the moments of the night during her acceptance speech: "Thank you Academy for putting me with hottest guy in the room", referring to Christian Bale, whom she accepted the award from. I love her!/A vencedora do prémio de Melhor Actriz Secundária, Octavia Spencer, a representar e bem, as meninas grandes neste fantástico Tadashi Shoji. Eu sou gorda e bem sei como é difícil ficar bonita e glamorosa, especialmente de vestido. Ela merecia um Oscar só por esse acto de coragem. Ela também foi protagonista de um dos momentos mais engraçados da noite no seu discurso de agradecimento: "Obrigada, Academia, por me porem com o homem mais sexy da sala", referindo-se a Christian Bale, de quem recebeu o Oscar. Adoro-a mesmo!
Cameron Diaz in Gucci Premiere. It was a show-stopping moment for Cameron, but I really liked the dress and I think she looked great in it./ Cameron Diaz em Gucci Premiere. Não foi um dos melhores momentos da Cameron nos Óscares, mas gostei bastante do vestido e achei que ela estava linda.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad. A lot of people are criticizing her dress but I don't get it. Yes, it's not too different from what she usually wears, but this is a dreamy dress and she and her fabulous behind look amazing in it./ Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad. Three time Academy Award winner and my favorite actress Meryl Streep wore a Lanvin dress and clutch. It was so great to finally see her in something I love! You go girl!/ Vencedora de três Oscares e a minha actriz preferida usou um vestido e clutch Lanvin. Foi mesmo bom, vê-la com um vestido bonito e que acenta tão bem! Boa, Meryl!
Jessica Chastain looked incredible as always in Alexander McQueen./ A Jessica Chastain estava incrível como sempre em Alexander McQueen.
Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace. Not a new and unexpected style for Angelina, but it works. The black against her skin is just beautiful. And her hair and make-up ate just perfect as usual.I just wish she wasn't so skinny, because I look at her face and think "Wow! That's the most beautiful woman in the world" and then I see her body and it's so unfortunate that it doesn't match her face... /Angelina Jolie em Atelier Versace. Nada de novo nem de inesperado, mas resulta. O preto faz um contraste lindo com o seu tom de pele e o cabelo e maquilhagem estão perfeitos como sempre. Só gostava que ela não fosse tão magrinha, porque eu olho para a cara dele e penso "Uau, a mulher mais bonita do mundo" e depois olho para o corpo e é uma desilusão que não combine com a cara...

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli. It was a fairly simple, clean dress, but I really liked it. Emma is young, beautiful and apparently confident, so there's no need to go overboard with crazy designs./Emma Stone em Giambattista Valli. O vestido é relativamente simples, mas gostei bastante. A Emma é jovem, bonita e aparentemente confiante, por isso não há muita necessidade de exagerar.
As usual, I'd like to know what you think, not only of my selection but of the Oscars style in general.
