Petals & Bejeweled Lips - Dior Couture Spring 2013

My love for the latest Dior Couture collection is so great that one post could not be enough. You definitely need to see the details of the garments and the insane lips that complemented the collection so well. Honestly, I'm not sure how practical bejeweled lips are and if they'll appeal to non-drag queens, but I see shiny glossy lips in our future.

O meu amor pela última colecção Couture da Dior é tão grande que um só post não era suficiente. Vocês precisam mesmo de ver os detalhes das peças e os lábios loucos que tão bem acompanharam a colecção. Sinceramente, não sei o quão práticos são e se serão apelativos a outras pessoas que não travestis, mas vejo lábios brilhantes e cheios de de gloss no nosso futuro.

Dreams In Bloom - Dior Couture Spring 2013

It was in the Jardin des Tuileries, Paris, that Raf Simons presented his second Couture collection for the house of Dior. The collection that "reflects the passing of time of the season, beginning as the signs of early life," was a pure fest of flowers, delicate fabrics and intricate hand work. A true delight for classic Dior addicts and avant-garde lovers alike. 

I was really amazed by how beautiful every piece was and I doubt any other show will top this.

If I could I would post every single look from the show, but I don't wanna bombard you with pictures, so here are my ultimate favorite looks from the collection. 

Foi no Jardim das Tulherias em Paris que Raf Simons apresentou a sua segunda colecção de alta-costura para a casa Dior. A colecção que "refletia a passagem da estação, começando como os primeiros sinais de vida" foi um verdadeiro banquete de flores, tecidos delicados e um trabalho manual muito complexo. Um verdadeiro deleite tanto para aficcionados da Dior, como para os amantes de moda avant-garde. 

Pessoalmente fiquei maravilhada com a beleza de todas as peças e duvido que haja algum desfile que bata este. Se pudesse postava os looks todos, mas como não vos quero bombardear com muitas imagens, deixo-vos apenas os meus favoritos da colecção.

The Prettiest Garden - Dior Couture F/W 2012-13

Dior Couture Fall/Winter 2012-13

One of my the best Couture shows for me was Dior, which is always a favorite. But this year the Dior show was special. It was Raf Simons debut at the French house and it couldn't have been better. It was the perfect mix of Raf's elegant minimalism with Dior's everlasting "New Look". 

After such a long reign of Galliano's over the top designs, it was hard to imagine any other image for Dior, but with this show I realized, Raf shares more of Christian Dior's DNA than any other designer. 

In my opinion this was a Dior rebirth. And as every birth or rebirth, it was full of beautiful flowers. It was such a great fantasy moment. Just perfect and perfectly Dior!

Para mim um dos melhores desfiles de alta-costura foi o da Dior, que é sempre um dos meus preferidos. Mas este ano, o desfile da Dior foi especial. Foi a estreia do Raf Simons na casa francesa e não podia ter sido melhor. Foi a mistura perfeita do minimalismo elegante de Raf com o eterno "New Look" de Dior.

Depois de um longo reinado dos designs loucos do Galliano, era difícil imaginar qualquer outra imagem para a Dior, mas com este desfile apercebi-me que o Raf partilha mais do ADN do Christian Dior do que qualquer outro designer.

Na minha opinião, este foi o renascimento da Dior. E como qualquer nascimento, esteve cheio de flores maravilhosas. Foi um momento fantástico de fantasia. Simplesmente perfeito e perfeitamente Dior!
