I can't call myself a Ke$ha fan. I only know one of her songs and although I think it's ok,  I'm not too crazy about it. However, I'm loving her on the cover of V Magazine, The Americana Issue. It's very raw and very very American. No offense to her or any American, cause God knows I love America, but when I look at Ke$ha the term "trailer trash" comes to mind. And, boy, do I love it! 

Also worth reading her interview for V here. It will give you a new sense of what this girl is all about.

Não posso dizer que sou uma grande fã da Ke$ha. Só conheço uma música dela, e não a adoro de paixão. No entanto, adoro-a na capa da nova edição da V Magazine, The Americana Issue. É uma capa muito crua e muito muito Americana. E sem ofensa à Ke$ha ou aos Americanos, porque Deus sabe que adoro a América, mas quando olho para ela, vem-me sempre à cabeça o termo "trailer trash" (em tradução literal: lixo do parques de caravanas, que é como quem diz, aquele pessoal "manhoso", ou não, que vive em caravanas lá nos States). Pá, e adoro!

Também vale muito a pena ler a entrevista dela aqui. Dá mesmo uma nova perspectiva sobre esta miúda.

Step 1 - Brighten up your day

Put on bright pink lipstick like the one I own from Catrice  ( Ultimate Shine 210 Kiss Kiss Hibiskuss) . It was a present from my mom and it was under €5. But don't you worry, it's just as good as a more expensive one. It stays on for hours and it doesn't make your lips dry.

Põe um batôn colorido como este meu da Catrice (Ultimate Shine 210 Kiss Kiss Hibiskuss). Foi um presente da minha mãe e custou menos de €5. Mas não se aflijam, é tão bom como um mais caro. Dura horas e horas e não seca os lábios.

Don't be afraid to be a kid for a few hours. I love fairy tales and fashion, so last week I totally gave in to my inner princess and went see "Mirror Mirror". Not only was it a fun movie to see, but the clothes were fabulous.

Não tenham medo de ser crianças por umas horas. Eu adoro contos de fadas e moda, por isso tive de aceder à minha princessa interior e ver o "Espelho Meu". Não só foi um filme divertido, como também tinha roupas fabulosas.

And don't forget to get a treat that makes you really happy. For me it's gummy bears!

E não se esqueçam de incluir uma goluseima que vos faça mesmo feliz! Para mim, são gomas de ursinho!

Step 3 - Shop

I may be short on cash, but I couldn't resist this starfish ring from H&M at just €2,95...Less than what you pay for a pint, so totally worth it!

Posso estar apertada de dinheiro, mas não consegui resistir a este anel de estrela-do-mar da H&M por apenas €2.95... Custa menos que um pint aqui em Dublin, por isso valeu mesmo a pena!

And this, ladies and gentleman, it's how I cheered myself up on a very rainy and dark day last week.

This necklace by Mango has been everywhere. From Vogues to blogs to my heart... And the more I see it the more I want it. The problem is, there's no sign of it on Mango's online shop and since it's so popular I'm afraid I won't find it store... So let's put our hands together and pray that, eventually, I have some of summer's underwater magic on my neck.

Este colar da Mango tem andado por todo o lado. Desde Vogues a blogues, ao meu coração... E quanto mais o vejo, mais o quero, claro! O problema é que não há sinal dele no site da Mango e com tanta popularidade estou com receio que não o vá encontrar nas lojas... Por isso, vamos juntar as mãozinhas e rezar para que, eventualmente, eu possa ter um bocadinho de magia subaquática este Verão.

I was actually shocked that she, the greatest Dutch model around, wasn't the cover of their first issue, but finally they came back to their senses.

The Girly Girl Who Loves Skulls

My sister is a girly girl, but boy does she love skulls. It drives my mom crazy, but I kinda like it, specially when done in a cute romantic way. Today I found this t-shirt online and thought it was the most perfect girly/goth t-shirt I have ever seen. I'm sure my sister would die for it!

A minha irmã é super feminina, mas não há nada que ela mais goste que uma boa caveira. Isto deixa a minha mãe louca, mas eu cá gosto, especialmente quando combinado com um look mais romântico. Hoje encontrei esta t-shirt online e acho que combina perfeitamente uma faceta feminina com uma mais gótica. Tenho a certeza que a minha irmã ia adorar.

This is most beautiful magazine picture I've seen in a very very long time. So classic and romantic. It kinda makes me wanna be all dressed up like they did back in the day, with hats, veils and gloves.

Há muito tempo que não via uma fotografia tão bonita numa revista. Tão clássica e romântica. Faz-me querer embonecar-me toda como se fazia "nos antigamentes", com direito a chapéu, véu e luvas.

The Girl Who Could Be My Sister - Coachella Style

I wasn't planning on showing any Coachella looks, however I was blown away by this one.

The dress is just gorgeous and the all the elements of the look just work perfectly together.

It also reminds me of my sister's favorite "uniform": pretty dresses, worn out denim shirts, lot's of random bracelets and most recently bright lips. Did I mention she's only eleven? Oh, how I miss my little fashionista!

Não estava a planear mostrar nenhum look do Coachella, mas adorei este.

O vestido é simplesmente lindo e acho que todos os elementos do look funcionam super bem juntos.

Também me lembra um bocadinho o "uniforme" preferido da minha irmã: vestidos, camisas de ganga gasta, muitas pulseiras e, mais recentemente, lábios berrantes. Já disse que ela só tem 11 anos? Oh, como tenho saudades da minha pequena fashionista!

Plus Size Me Goes To Zara

Hi everyone! I'm back! Sorry for being absent, but I've been in Portugal for over a month and I ended up spending the whole time with my family, specially my sister. 

The time (and money) was short but I still managed to enjoy some shopping with my favorite girls, my sis and my mom. Here is the one piece of clothing I got. An amazing white waistcoat from Zara. I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it and as soon as that happened I felt the overwhelming fear of me not fitting inside it...Still, I looked for the bigger size (L...I mean really...) and slowly tried it on in the middle of the store praying that know one would see my ridiculous attempt of fitting into a Zara item. But for my astonishment, it fit. Not like it fits the models in the pictures but it looked good. Since I have broad shoulders and big boobs, the front part of the waistcoat kinda sits on the side, but I don't  think anyone notices that's not how it's meant to look. Needless to say I had to have it. Although it was a bit over budget, I couldn't resist the impeccable tailoring and the gorgeous transparent sections. It's one of those different pieces that it would be a sin not to have. What do you think? Do you love it as much as I do? And how do you feel about the fact that some brands only have a very limited size selection? For instance at Zara, some of the items are only made in S and M sizes... Mango also has pieces that only go from S to an L...I just amazes me that brands don't understand that they are missing on some serious business. It's understandable that some pieces are only manufactured in some sizes in order not to compromise design. But we're talking about t-shirts and blazers here...Another of fashion's greatest mysteries. Well, let me know your thoughts on this matter. And I promise to be back soon.

Oh, I also got some cool and very cheap nail polish and some make-up. I'll show them later.

Olá a todos! Estou de volta! Peço desculpa pela ausência prolongada, mas estive mais de um mês em Portugal e acabei por passar o tempo todo com a minha família, especialmente com a minha irmã. 

O tempo (e o orçamento) foi curto, mas ainda consegui fazer umas comprinhas com as minhas meninas preferidas, a minha maninha e a minha mãe. E esta é a única peça de roupa que comprei. Um colete lindo da Zara. Apaixonei-me por ele assim que lhe deitei os olhos em cima, e assim que isso aconteceu, fui inundada por um medo esmagador de não caber dentro dele... Ainda assim, procurei o tamanho maior (que era o L...a sério...) e ali no meio da loja, decidi experimentá-lo, rezando para que ninguém testemunhasse a minha tentativa ridícula de caber dentro de uma peça da Zara. Mas, para meu espanto, não é que serviu? Não me fica exactamente como nas modelos acima, mas fica bem. Como tenho ombros largos e peito grande, a parte da frente fica mais de lado, mas acho que ninguém nota que não era assim que era suposto ficar. Óbvio que tinha mesmo de o comprar! Apesar de estar um bocadinho fora do meu orçamento, não consegui resistir ao corte impecável e àquelas transparências lindas. É uma daquelas peças que seria pecado não comprar. 

O que acham? Gostam?

E o que é que pensam do facto de muitas marcas terem um número muito limitado de tamanhos? Por exemplo, a Zara tem peças que só estão disponíveis em tamanho S e M...A Mango também tem peças que só vão do S ao L... Espanta-me o facto das marcas não perceberem que estão a perder negócio. Percebo que algumas peças só sejam apresentadas em alguns tamanhos, de modo a não comprometer o design e a forma como a roupa é suposto ficar, mas estamos a falar de t-shirts e blazers banais... Mais um dos grandes mistérios da moda. Bem, contem-me o que acham de tudo isto.
