Where Have I Seen That?

This Halloween this Blanco dress (on the right) decided to dress up as Stella McCartney's dress of the season (on the left)! Smart choice! I can totally picture de madness as fashionistas pillage Blanco stores around the world, to get a piece of this fall/winter's history (I'd be one of them, if I were caught dead in a dress!)!

Black Widow

Hey fashionable and spooky people!

Halloween is here and everywhere you go, you can not escape the pumpkins and trails of blood! In Portugal we didn't use to celebrate this holiday, but now, with the influence of American tv and movies, kids think they're entitled of some free candy as well. Last year I went trick or treating with my baby sister for the first time and it was lot's of fun. This year, since I'm in Dublin, I won't be able to do that with her, but thanks to some friends, I got to celebrate Halloween in style. Last night I attended a Halloween/socks (no shoes allowed) party for the first time and since I didn't have a lot of time to think about the costume I just got an easy fix and went as a "Black widow", as you can see in this crappy phone picture I manage to snap before I left home.

I didn't do much to achieve the look. Just got this hair clip with the veil and spider from Claire's and went a bit heavy on the brows and lips. I usually put on bronzer and blush, but for this, I just used my normal foundation to achieve a pale look. I just had a hint of blush and decided to go really dark and heavy on the brows and lips. I used a dark purple (nº4) lipstick from Kate Moss's new collection for Rimmel. It's gorgeous and not just for Halloween.

I dressed all in black and wore black pants and a lace shirt with a silk bow that I got for €15 at H&M last year. The event was socks only, so I decided to keep it classy with black lace socks.

As you can see in the picture, I wore my hair up (don't know what is it with me these days that I just can't wear my hair down). This is a great hair style that fits every occasion. I've worn it to parties, church and even job interviews. It looks put together and it takes literally 5 min. I learned how to do it with Jojo from "Um ano sem Zara" (One year without Zara), a Brazilian blogger who pledged not to shop for a year (God bless her!) . The video is in Portuguese, but I guess you get the point.

In the video Jojo uses a sock, but you can find little sponge doughnuts at Penneys (Primark) for €1.50 or at Boots.

Today I came across these H&M ads and thought to myself, this is one of the hottest men in the world (the one in the middle in the 1st pic)! Where has he been? Being the curious girl that I am, I had to know who he was and after 5 min in Google I finally found out. This fine male is Tony Ward, actor, model and Madonna's boy toy from the 90's! How I lived 25 years without knowing who this man was, I'll never know!

Hoje vi estes anúncios da H&M e pensei cá para mim, este é um dos homens mais sexys do mundo ( o do meio da 1ª foto)! Mas onde é que ele tem andado? Sendo curiosa como sou, fui logo investigar e passados 5 min no Google descobri quem ele era. Este belo membro do sexo masculino chama-se Tony Ward e é modelo, actor e foi boy toy da Madonna nos anos 90. Como é que eu passei 25 anos da minha vida sem saber quem ele era é que eu nunca vou saber!

I'm absolutely blown away by this cover of Vogue Italia! I just find it so beautiful. So cold, but yet so inviting. I guess it has something to do with the fact that I always wanted to be a very pale red head. I also love the grey used on the cover. So simple and elegant. So tell me, do you love it as much as I do?

And how about the fact that Vogue Italia is never a month ahead? I mean, how brilliant is it that they actually sell October's issue in October? Visionaries I say, visionaries! But seriously, doesn't that make much more sense? Just sayin...

Estou absolutamente arrebatada por esta capa da Vogue Italia! Acho-a tão bonita. Tão fria, mas ao mesmo tempo tão convidativa. Acho que tem algo a ver com o facto de sempre ter desejado ser uma ruíva muito pálida como a mocinha da capa. Também adoro o cinzento usado na capa.Tão simples e elegante. Mas digam-me, também estão a vibrar tanto como eu?

E esta história da Vogue nunca estar um mês adiantada? Quer dizer, não é brilhante o facto de venderem a Vogue de Outubro em Outubro? Visionários, digo-vos eu, visionários! Mas, a sério, não faria muito mais sentido? Não sei, digo eu...

And Vogue Portugal does it again! Another great cover, this time featuring Portuguese it-model of the moment, Sara Sampaio.

At first I didn't make much of the fact that she was pretty much naked. It was just a great fashion photo, but after reading other blogs, I realized pictures like this can still shock. What do you think? Is this still shocking to the public in general? Is it shocking to you? I don't think it is shocking at all, but again, I grew up in a "naked house"...

De início nem dei muita importância ao facto de ela estar praticamente nua. Happy World Animal Day everyone!!!For those who don't know me well, I'm a huge animal lover! So today I totally had to celebrate this day with some fashion! Hope you enjoy it!

I'd also like to know what your favorite animals are! Mine are dogs! I have a cocker spaniel sister, (my mom says she's her 3rd daughter, so yes, my sister), named Missi and I'm completely in love with her! She really is a part of our family!
