Romantic, glamorous, quirky... I don't discriminate when it comes to magazine covers (or anything for that matter). They can all be beautiful and interesting and they all have a message.

These are some of my July favorites.

The Girl Who Could Be My Sister - Coachella Style

Coachella Street Style via Harper's Bazaar

I wasn't planning on showing any Coachella looks, however I was blown away by this one.

The dress is just gorgeous and the all the elements of the look just work perfectly together.

It also reminds me of my sister's favorite "uniform": pretty dresses, worn out denim shirts, lot's of random bracelets and most recently bright lips. Did I mention she's only eleven? Oh, how I miss my little fashionista!

Não estava a planear mostrar nenhum look do Coachella, mas adorei este.

O vestido é simplesmente lindo e acho que todos os elementos do look funcionam super bem juntos.

Também me lembra um bocadinho o "uniforme" preferido da minha irmã: vestidos, camisas de ganga gasta, muitas pulseiras e, mais recentemente, lábios berrantes. Já disse que ela só tem 11 anos? Oh, como tenho saudades da minha pequena fashionista!

Gwyneth Paltrow for Harper's Bazaar, March 2012  (subscriber's edition) by Terry Richardson

Harper's Bazaar outdid itself with this amazing subscriber's cover of Gwyneth Paltrow by Terry Richardson. It's funny how even before I read it was by Terry, I already knew he shot it. There's this light that only he can capture. Don't really know how to explain it. But he can't take all the credit. Gwyneth's slender body is also creating the magic and, even though, we can't see her face, that thigh is demanding some attention...

Her skinny body got me thinking how cruel we can be too each other and ourselves. Some people criticize very skinny women like Gwyneth, Angelina and Karlie. Others (as in most people) criticize us, the fatties. I do that sometimes, criticize both the ones that are too skinny and the ones that are too fat. God, I criticize myself...However, I'm really trying to stop the judgement that goes on in my head, cause in the end of the day it's not even a choice. They are just as slaves of the skinny as I am slave of the fat.

A Harper's Bazaar superou-se com esta capa para subscritores com a Gwyneth Paltrow fotografada pelo Terry Richardson. É engraçado como antes de ler que a fotografia era do Terry, eu já sabia que tinha sido ele a fotografá-la. Há uma luz que só ele é capaz de captar. Não sei bem explicar. Mas o crédito não pode ser todo para ele. O corpo esguiu da Gwyneth também contribuiu para a magia e, apesar da cara dela não aparecer, aquela coxa chama muito a atenção...

A magreza dela fez-me pensar em como somos tão cruéis com os outros e connosco próprios. Há pessoas que criticam mulheres extremamente magras como a Gwyneth, a Angelina e a Karlie. Outras ( a maioria ) critica-nos a nós, os gordinhos. Por vezes também caio nessa tentação de criticar os muito magros e muito gordos. Até a mim, eu critico! No entanto, estou a tentar parar as críticas que surgem na minha cabeça, por afinal de contas nem é bem uma escolha. Eles são tão escravos da magreza, como eu sou da gordura.
